Welcome to St. Brendan

Dear Parents,

It is incredible how quickly the school year has gone by and hard to believe that the

month of June is already upon us.  As we wonder about our year together, the

activities and learning of our St. Brendan students we reflect with gratitude, pride

and awe.  We are proud of all the learning, the growing, and the social justice activities

and the ordinary miracles, that together with our students and staff we were a part

of.  We are also truly grateful to our parent community for their continued support

and time; from hot lunches, School Council meetings, volunteering in our classrooms

and fieldtrips.  And to our teachers and support staff who continue to incite and to

inspire us; they work endlessly in providing our children exciting opportunities to learn,

to grow.  We are truly blessed to be a part of our St. Brendan School family.

As the school year begins to wrap up, our Grade 3 and Grade 6 students continue to

demonstrate their knowledge in the Provincial Achievement Exams.  Our teachers

continue to assess their students, prepare for report cards and year end activities.

All these evaluations will present the personal growth made by our students.

The end of the school year signals a special time for students, parents and teachers.

The students are for a time, finished with their school materials; they look forward to

free time, spending more time with friends and family and doing all the summer

activities that they enjoy.  It is also a special time for parents.  The school year is a

family endeavor; as a parent you are readily supporting your child’s learning by helping

them with homework, a project, reading with them.  Summer holidays brings with it

relaxation and a break from the rigors of routine.  For our teachers, it is a time to

pause and reflect on all the “blooming” that has occurred in their classrooms, with their

     students.

Thank you for a wonderful journey of learning and growing together.  As summer fast

approaches, we look forward to a time to relax, to play and the wonder of summer.
